"Michael and Scott have been locked into the NIL movement at Siena since Day 1. They get it — college athletes have a right to be compensated for their name, image and likeness," said Saints March On co-founder and managing member Frank Ambrose. "But they also see the big picture. Student-athletes need support in areas like financial education, which is a core objective of our collective. And players can help businesses and nonprofits in the Capital Region reach new audiences. Michael and Scott have the experience, connections and credibility to do all of the above. This is a win for everyone."
The collective also added two members to its advisory board: Michael Gabriele, CPA, accountant at Gabriele, Bottini and Associates LLP; and Jason Hover, attorney at Hover and Mackowski, PLLC.
"These are local professionals who are passionate about Siena and want to give back directly to student-athletes," said Saints March On co-founder and managing member Sheila Ambrose. "They bring specific expertise to the collective in the worlds of tax and law. We're building an advisory board with people like Michael and Jason who can provide valuable guidance and services that are typically offered by big-time agencies. It's a huge add-on for student-athletes who sign with Saints March On."

THE LAUNCH OF SAINTS MARCH ON
LOUDONVILLE, NY — 26 January 2023 — Today, Saints March On announces the launch of the first NIL Collective, endorsed by Siena Athletics, supporting and empowering Siena Saints student-athletes. Saints March On works to connect and represent student-athletes, brands, with loyal fans, businesses and nonprofits in partnership opportunities under name, image, and likeness ("NIL") guidelines.
Saints March On is launching today with the men's and women's basketball teams as the lead, but will rapidly expand with the intent to include all Siena men's and women's student-athletes. The Collective was founded by alumni and friends Frank Ambrose ('85), Sheila Ambrose, and former Siena baseball player Matt Moberg ('09).
As has been widely reported, college athletics is in a period of transformational change. One of the most significant changes to the competitive landscape came with the introduction of name, image, and likeness compensation for student-athletes.
"With such as passionate fanbase and the premier sports program in the Capital Area market, we believe Siena student-athletes have an opportunity that few colleges or universities, and certainly no other MAAC program can offer. Saints March On was created to provide them a fully compliant means to leverage their NIL and connect with fans, nonprofits and Capital Area businesses," said Co-Founder Frank Ambrose.
Saints March On is already actively working with Saints student-athletes as well as local businesses and expects to have its first NIL deal signed very quickly. The collective will also provide great opportunities for fans to interact directly with student-athletes and provide opportunities for them to give back to the local community through Capital Area nonprofits. Filling board positions is also moving quickly, with the addition of alumni and current Chief Communications Officer of the LA Clippers, Chris Wallace ('98).
"We are excited about the opportunity for student-athletes, their families, Siena College, and the Capital Region community. The dedicated Siena fan base now has a direct avenue to help support athletes." said Co-founder Matt Moberg.
All contributions to Saints March On allow for direct compensation for student-athletes for their time, effort, and energy. Some examples would include social media postings, brand endorsement opportunities, and appearance events with fans and nonprofits.
Saints March On has launched its platform (
www.saintsmarchon.com) to offer all fans an opportunity to become a part of the Collective through its membership program. The program will offer four annual membership tiers, with the highest tiers offering exclusive event opportunities. There will also be opportunities to purchase athlete NFT content that the Collective will make available to fans.
Now, it's time for Siena fans from across the country to support our Saints student-athletes off-the-court, just like we support them on the court. Visit www.saintsmarchon.com today!
