Biography
2021-22 (GRADUATE STUDENT):
- MAAC All-Academic Team and MAAC Academic Honor Roll member
- First graduate student in the 76-year history of the program
- Held an 80.00 scoring average over three rounds through two tournaments
- Saw action at the Murray Cup (+5, 77) and the Battle at Rum Pointe (+19, 163)
2020-21 (SENIOR):
- Served as a team captain
- MAAC All-Academic Team & MAAC Academic Honor Roll member
- Held an 80.14 stroke average over seven rounds during four tournaments
- Tied for eighth individually with a season-best +2, 72 at the Hartford/Wintonbury Hills Invitational on March 26
- Tied for seventh individually with +8, 80 at the Hartford/Gillette Ridge Invitational on April 18
2019-20 (JUNIOR):
SPRING 2020:
- Served as a team captain
- MAAC All-Academic Team & MAAC Academic Honor Roll member
- Named the Male Leo Dufort Student Athlete of the Month for February 2020
- Competed in the team's only spring tournament action at the Pinehurst Intercollegiate
- Held a 79.71 average score over 14 rounds during the course of the season
FALL 2019:
- Served as a team captain
- Competed in all five fall tournaments
- Aided the Saints in carding the second (285) and third (287) lowest team rounds in program history and in tying the program mark for low 36-hole team score (572) at the Dartmouth Invitational
2018-19 (SOPHOMORE):
SPRING 2019:
- 2019 MAAC All-Academic Team & MAAC Academic Honor Roll member
- Competed in all five events
- Finished T-44th at the Yale Spring Invitational on April 13
- Concluded the 2018-19 season with a 79-56 average score through 18 rounds
FALL 2018:
- Competed in three
- Finished the fall with an 80.75 stroke average through eight rounds
2017-18 (FRESHMAN):
SPRING 2018:
- MAAC Academic Honor Roll Member
- Selected as the MAAC Golfer of the Week on Feb. 28
- Competed in all five events
- Placed T-31 twice, including at the 2018 MAAC Championships April 20-22
- Carded one round under-par
- Finished the year with a 77.27 stroke average through 22 rounds
FALL 2017:
- Played in five events
- Finished T-15 at the Lehigh Invitational Oct. 20-21
- Carded one round under-par
BEFORE SIENA:
- Two-time First Team All-WCAC
- 2016 WCAC Player of the Year
- 2016 Honorable Mention All-Met by the Washington Post
- Co-Medalist at the 2016 WCAC Championship with a 1-under
- Graduated with a cumulative GPA above 4.0
PERSONAL:
- Born on April 26
- Son of John and Colleen Williams
- Dad played basketball at Siena from 1980-1984
- Has three brothers - Danny, Johnny and Sean, and one sister - Keegan
- Has cousins that currently play lacrosse at Duke, Georgetown & Ohio State
- Majoring in business
- Chose Siena to follow in the footsteps of his father and because it is a great school
