Instagram Handle: alexisrosenfeldd
Major: Criminal Justice (Policy, Practice, and Admin.)
Dream Job: Law enforcement - either a detective or investigator
A fun fact about me is: When I was younger, I was really into musical theater (and even was a couple leads for the shows I was in). It was something I really loved before I found my passion for basketball.
Why I chose to become a Saint: I chose to become a Saint because Siena felt like home from the start. The community here is so supportive and welcoming and I really appreciated that I would be able to be part of a program that values both academics and athletics the way Siena does.
What I like most about Siena University: What I like most about Siena is how close-knit the campus feels. Everyone knows each other, and there’s always people looking out for you and supporting you along your journey. Everyone truly cares about one another which makes it such a positive environment and place to be.
What I like most about Siena Basketball: I love the family atmosphere within the team. Everyone pushes each other to be better, on and off the court, and there’s a real sense of pride in representing Siena together. We have a championship mindset which means we hold ourselves accountable every day, whether that’s in practice, in the classroom, or how we carry ourselves off the court. That standard makes us better and keeps us united in what we’re working toward.
What I like most about Coach Primm: I really admire how focused Coach Primm is on making a difference during his time here. You can tell he has a clear vision for the program and has already put steps in place to help us reach that next level, which makes it exciting to be part of.
Player I most relate to on the team (and why): I’d say I relate most to Dallas because we share a similar mindset when it comes to working hard and staying positive, no matter the situation.
Goal(s) for the upcoming season: #1 IS TO WIN A CHAMPIONSHIP!!! My other goals for this season are to keep improving every day (1% better) and be a consistent contributor to the team. I love playing fast and think my skill set fits in really well with our seven-second offense, where we’re always looking to push the pace and score quickly.
My pregame routine consists of: I always eat two packs of Motts fruit snacks before the game. One before we start warmups and the other when we go into the locker room to review the scout right before the game starts.
My pregame hype song is: Anything R&B, I prefer more relaxing music before a game.
My biggest fan is: I would say both my mom and my grandma. Ever since I was little they have always been at every single game and even in college if they couldn’t make it to campus they would be following along on the livestream. They are just so supportive of me and I really appreciate them more than they know.
The person I look up to the most (and why): Definitely my mom. She’s one of the strongest and most selfless people I know. No matter what, she always shows up for others, and I really admire how hard she works and how she carries herself.
My hobbies are: Hiking, painting, drawing, arts and crafts, watching crime documentaries, playing with my cat, Jinx
Three words that best describe me: Hardworking, loyal, and competitive.
The best advice I ever received was: Control the controllable - it sounds easy but it makes me stop and think about what’s going on in the moment and helps me realize what’s actually within my power to change and what isn’t. It’s something I remind myself of all the time, especially when things get stressful on or off the court.
If I could meet anyone in the world, it would be (and why):
If I could travel anywhere in the world, I would go to (and why): Italy - I’ve always wanted to visit for the food, the culture, and the history. It just seems like one of those places where every city has its own unique charm and story.
If I was stuck on a deserted island and could bring only one thing, it would be:
If I could have dinner with any three people – dead or alive – they would be:
