Former Siena women's basketball standout Meghan Donohue enters her second season as a member of the team's coaching staff and her first as an assistant coach.
Donahue returned to the Green and Gold when women's basketball head coach Ali Jaques announced her as the new director of women's basketball operations on June 27, 2019.Â

"Since the day she stepped on campus as a freshman, Meghan has been a fantastic representation of our program," said Jaques at Donahue's initial appointment. "Having a former player on our staff who bleeds green and gold is something I am extremely excited about."
Donahue aided the Saints in advancing to the MAAC Quarterfinals as the No. 6 seed in the MAAC Tournament during the 2019-20 season. Siena embarked on a five-game conference winning streak from January 23 - February 8 that coincided with the program's first-ever victory over conference heavyweight Quinnipiac.Â

Donohue, a 2017 graduate of Siena, is the all-time leader in program history in games played and games started with 128. Taking the floor from 2013-17, Donohue scored 1,223 points which ranks 15th all-time. She averaged 9.6 points over her four years, with an overall shooting percentage of .515 that ranks 5th all-time. She also averaged 5.2 rebounds per game, as she totaled up 662 for her career, ranking her 17th all-time just ahead of Laura Menty. A member of the "Magnificent Seven" squad from the 2014-15 WBI Final run, Donohue also earned MAAC All-Rookie honors in 2013-14 as a freshman.
The Mogadore, Ohio native is a former team captain of the Saints, and also earned Preseason All-MAAC honors her junior season. She would become the program's 27th member of the 1,000 point club at Northeastern on December 28, 2016, and scored a career-high 21 points in a 57-53 win over Iona later that season on February 26, 2017. She graduated from Siena with a degree in Management.
Donohue was also a Sport Changes Life Victory Scholars Class of 2018, studying at Waterford IT of Waterford in the South-East Region of Ireland where she earned a master's degree in Business Management. She also played professionally for the Maxol WIT Wildcats of Waterford, and for the Waterford IT team while also coaching other local teams.
Since June 2018, Donohue lived in Charleston, South Carolina and was a sales agent for Kiawah Island Golf Resort selling vacation homes and rentals prior to her arrival back in Loudonville.
