Siena Athletics promoted Julianne Corcoran to head strength & conditioning coach in August 2024.

Corcoran was named to the Saints’ Strength & Conditioning Staff on June 13, 2022. Corcoran joins Siena as an Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach, where she will work with Siena’s Men’s & Women’s Rugby teams and other select sports.  
 
“Julianne stood out during the interview process as someone who is passionate, energetic, and thoughtful about training the student athletes under her supervision,” Senior Associate Athletic Director & Senior Woman Administrator Angie Jabir said. “Her vast experience with men's and women's teams at various institutions will be a tremendous asset to our strength and conditioning staff.”
 
Corcoran comes to Siena after spending three years as an Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach at Denison University in Granville, Ohio, where she served as the strength & conditioning contact for 12 athletic programs, designing and implementing workouts and programming for her teams.
 
A native of Manchester, Connecticut, Corcoran completed a sports performance internship at Yale University from August – December 2018, assisting with all 27 varsity sports while working specifically with football, field hockey, and men’s lacrosse. She served as a Graduate Assistant Strength & Conditioning coach at Ithaca College during the 2017-18 school year, serving as the strength coach for football, men’s and women’s crew, and gymnastics. She also served as a Strength & Conditioning Intern at Brown University in 2016, and was a student strength & conditioning coach at Northern Vermont University.
 
Corcoran has certifications from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) and certified personal trainer (NSCA-CPT), and is also a Level 1 SPC by USA Weightlifting.
 
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with concentrations in health fitness and strength and conditioning from Northern Vermont University in May 2017, and received a Master of Science in Exercise Science and Sport Science with a concentration in human performance from Ithaca College in December 2018.
