Mike Behan

Mike Behan enters his sixth season as the Siena women's golf assistant coach for 2022-23. 

"With over twenty years in the golf business, I have been fortunate enough to have worked at many great clubs and learned from some of our best golf professionals," said Behan, upon his hiring in August 2017. "My love for teaching and coaching the game has remained constant along my journey. I’ve been fortunate enough to have worked with all levels of players over the years ranging from young junior golfers to accomplished professionals. I look forward to helping Coach Wronowski build on what has already become a successful program thanks to his leadership."

He was elected to the Professional Golf Association (PGA) in 1996. Behan has spent his time as Assistant Professionals at IBM Country Club, The Creek Club, The Country Club of Fairfield, The Tuxedo Club and Orchid Island Golf & Beach Club. He was also a Head Professional at The Woodstock Golf Club and Olde Kinderhook Golf Club.

Behan played on the MET PGA Squire Cup Team in 1997, 1998, 1999 and 2000. He was a past president of the MET PGA Assistant's Association, while he stands as the current President of the NENY PGA. He is a two time Bill Strausaugh award winner as well as a two time Horton Smith award winner.
