Morgan Will

  • Title
    Assistant Coach
Morgan Will [apos]13 enters her first season as an assistant coach with the Siena Women[apos]s Lacrosse program. Will, who started on defense during all three of her years playing with the Saints, will oversee the Saints[apos] midfield and defensive units and be involved in all facets of the program including recruiting, practice planning and coaching. [quote]Hiring Morgan was an easy decision,[quote] said Borrelli upon her appointment. [quote]Having an alum come back to coach is something that so many never get the opportunity to do. She poured her heart into this program, and to see her give back in such a large capacity like she has is inspiring. Our student athletes see how much she accomplished during her tenure here and look to Morgan as a role model of what Siena Lacrosse is about. Her ability to bridge the gap of where this program has been to where it is now (coupled with the vision of where it is going) is priceless and we could not be more happy to have her.[quote] Will played three seasons for the Saints (2011-13) after transferring into the program following her freshman season playing at Sacred Heart. Will appeared in all 49 of the Saints[apos] games over that three-year span, making 41 starts on defense. She tallied 48 career groundballs and caused 23 turnovers. During her senior season, Will both appeared in and started all 16 games in helping guide the Saints to the program[apos]s unprecedented fourth consecutive MAAC Tournament berth. A native of West Sand Lake, N.Y., Will graduated with her B.S. in Marketing from Siena College in May 2013. She is currently pursuing her Masters in Communications from UAlbany with an anticipated graduated date of this December.
