Coach Church

Stephani Church

Stephani Church enters her third season as an assistant coach on Steve Karbowski's staff. She is involved in all aspects of the program, including practice preparation, coaching and player evaluation, scouting, recruiting and player support and development.

"I am excited to have Stephani joining our staff," said Karbowski upon her appointment. "She brings a lot of enthusiasm and passion to the office and the soccer field. I've had the chance to observe these qualities as a member of our summer soccer camp staff over the past few summers. Stephani's energy and willingness to take initiative will be a great asset to our soccer program at Siena."

The Saints have amassed 20 wins and posted a 13-7 (.650) league record over Church's first two seasons with the program. Last season, Siena won seven of its final nine matches while securing the program's record fifth straight MAAC Tournament appearance, and in her first season in 2016 Siena's second place conference finish and seven league victories both tied program bests.

A local product from nearby Latham, New York who attended Shaker High, Church graduated cum laude from Binghamton University in May 2016 with her B.A. in Applied Behavioral Analysis Psychology. A four-year member of the Bearcats' women's soccer team, she appeared in 53 career matches (36 starts) at forward tallying 22 career points on the strength of 10 goals and two assists.

Church led Binghamton in scoring with 11 points during her sophomore season in 2013, and ranked second in the America East with four game-winning goals. She appeared in 16 matches (eight starts) last fall, tallying a pair of goals for four points.

The consummate student athlete, Church was named to Binghamton's Athletic Director's Honor Roll six times, Dean's List five times, America East Conference Academic Honor Roll three times, and was inducted into the National College Athlete Honor Society, Chi Alpha Sigma.

Church is an NSCAA certified Level 4 coach, and has previously worked as a personal soccer trainer in addition to serving as an assistant coach for Latham Girls' Soccer.
