Maggie Fletcher joined Siena Swimming & Diving as an assistant coach in the fall of 2017, following the completion of her four-year career as a Saint.
A four-year letter-winner on the Saints' squad, Fletcher returned to her alma mater as an assistant coach beginning for the 2017-18 season.
Fletcher aided the Saints in setting new school records in the 800 freestyle relay and the 100 yard butterfly (Jessica Shine) during the 2019-20 season. Two Saints recorded All-MAAC finishes at the 2020 MAAC Championship, while freshman diver Lydia DeLano won the 3-meter diving event at the 2019 ECAC Championships and was named the Rookie Diver of the Meet at the 2020 MAAC Championships.
Fletcher aided Head Coach Paul Kueterman in helping to develop the Saints' personal benchmarks during the 2018-19 season, with every swimmer on the roster achieving at least one personal best. Siena swimmers advanced to MAAC Championship Final heat in 14 unique events, highlighted by three All-MAAC Performers. Senior Julianna Sebastian took home a bronze medal in the 200-yard butterfly while taking down an eight-year-old school record in the event. Additionally, the Saints took home CSCAA Scholar All-America Honors for the 14th straight year and saw 11 swimmers named to the MAAC All-Academic Team.
The 2017-18 season saw the Saints post a 4-6 dual meet record, notching wins over MAAC opponents Manhattan College, Monmouth and Saint Peter's, as well as Stony Brook. The team's victory over the Jaspers marked its 12th straight in the head-to-head series. The Saints placed 11th at ECAC Championships and seventh place in the MAAC Championships for the second straight season. The team secured its 13th straight CSCAA Scolar All-America honor and saw a league-best 12 swimmers named to the MAAC All-Academic Team.
A 2017 graduate of Siena College, Fletcher was a four-year member of the swim team. She swam on four point scoring replays which played a major role in helping the Saints win the ECAC Championships in 2015.
Fletcher holds her B.S. in Psychology from Siena College and received her M.S. in Occupational Therapy from Sage College.in 2019.
