Raislan Aiken joined Siena Swimming & Diving as its Diving Coach in November 2023. A former MAAC collegiate diving standout, Aiken brings valuable experience to Loudonville, and will work directly with the Saints divers.
“We are looking forward to adding Raislan to the staff,” head coach Brogan Barr said upon Aiken's appointment. “He has accumulated a lot of experience and success as both an athlete and a coach in the MAAC, so we are excited for him to get to work with our divers.”
Aiken joins the Green and Gold after serving as the Diving coach at fellow MAAC school Marist College for the past two seasons. While in Poughkeepsie, he trained three MAAC champions, one two-time ECAC Champion, a school-record holder, a three-time NCAA Zone Qualifier, and was named the MAAC Diving Coach of the Year for the 2022-23 season.
A native of Glens Falls, New York, Aiken was a standout diver for the Red Foxes from 2016-20, serving as a Team Captain during his senior season. A three-time NCAA Zone Diving Championship qualifier, he won the one-meter and three-meter diving titles at ECAC Championships during both his junior and senior seasons, and placed second at MAAC Championships during his senior year. A finalist for the Marist Male Sportsperson of the Year award in 2020, he was named the MAAC Rookie Diver of the Meet in 2017 and took home four MAAC Diver of the Week awards during his college career.
Aiken earned his B.S. in Information Technology/Information Systems with a minor in Computer Science and Cybersecurity from Marist in 2020. He is still the one-meter six and 11-dive diving records while attending Glens Falls High School.
