Madalina Man enters her first season in 2023-2024 as a volunteer assistant coach with the Saints men's and women's tennis teams.
Man was a decorated student-athlete at Division I Charleston Southern University (2017-2022), where she compiled a 78-56 overall record and led the team to two consecutive Big South Regular Season and Tournament Championships as a captain in 2021 and 2022.
For the 2020-21 season, Man was named the team's Most Valuable Player and was the 2021 Big South Player of the Year Runner Up. In 2022, she clinched the semifinal and final of the Big South Conference tournament to help the team qualify for their third NCAA tournament appearance.
Man was just the 12th player in Big South history and just the second in CSU history to be named a four-time All-Conference singles honoree and just the 26th player and third in CSU history to be a three-time All-Conference doubles honoree.
Man earned a B.S. Degree as a double major in Biology and Spanish in the winter of 2021. Currently, she is a PhD student, studying Spanish Linguistics. Man started playing tennis at the age of six in Romania and currently calls Albany, NY home.
