Biography
General: Lauren benefited from working with strength coach Dan Taylor in the weight room and hitting with coach Bernardi as a freshman...Her powerful groundstrokes will hopefully help her have a great second year.
Personal: Daughter of Ronald and Lisa Moy...Sister Erin, 16, attends Harvard-Westlake in Los Angeles.
Chose Siena: 'I chose Siena College because of the vast opportunities available as well as the friendliness and sincerity of the students, and the great academic programs.'
Before Siena: Named MVP in doubles as a freshman, junior and senior...Voted Most Improved as a sophomore and named team captain her senior year...Was the Mission League Doubles Champion as a junior and senior year and named honorable mention All-City doubles by the Los Angeles Times.
2007-2008: Posted a 5-16 singles record playing #2 and #3 all season...Went 1-5 in MAAC play...Was 11-6 in doubles and 4-2 in MAAC doubles.
Coaches Comments: 'Lauren had to immediately fill the difficult role of #2/3 singles as a freshman. As her singles game matures we fell she will be the key element in our quest for the MAAC Championship this year.'
