Biography
GENERAL:
- Very strong hitter who is not afraid to go for her shots and has a great technique from both sides
- Comfortable moving up to the net, and an extremely tough competitor
- Can really make things happen on the court
- Doubles skills made her transition to the college game a lot easier, and her personality makes her a great teammate
2015-16:
- Posted a team-high 12 singles victories, including 11-7 at number three singles
- Amassed an 11-10 doubles record with Ali Garrity at the No. 1 spot, including a 5-2 record in MAAC play
- Garrity and Fukamachi were named to the All-MAAC Second Team as the first doubles team
2014-15:
- Recorded team best 14 singles victories, including a 5-2 mark in the MAAC
- Sported an unblemished 8-0 record at number two singles
- Played No. 2, 3 and 4 singles
- Teamed up with Ali Garrity to post a 9-5 record at the top doubles spot
2013-14:
- Posted a team-best 15-10 overall singles record her freshman year, finishing 5-3 in the MAAC, and 8-3 at No. 3 singles
- Finished with a team best 13-9 record in dual match competition
- Played No. 1, 2, 3, and 4 singles
- Won 10 singles matches in straight sets
- Posted an 11-13 overall record in doubles play, with a 6-2 record in MAAC play
- Played No. 1, 2 and 3 doubles
BEFORE SIENA:
- Recipient of the USTA NEOTA Sportsmanship Award as a senior at Mayfield
- Ranked No. 20 in the state of Ohio's USTA (U-18 rankings) as of November 16, 2012
- Reached as high as No. 99 in the Midwest USTA in singles rankings, and No. 3 in doubles in Northeast Ohio
- Four-time Ohio State High School Tournament doubles qualifier, and captured the 2012 North Ohio Conference (NOC) Championship in First Doubles
- Was named NOC All Conference in first singles, second singles and first doubles
- Team captured the doubles sectional championship in 2009 and 2010
- Served as varsity team captain during her senior year, and received the athlete scholar award all four years
PERSONAL/COMMUNITY:
- Presidential Scholar at Siena who plans to major in medical sciences
- Daughter of Kiyotaka and Kiyomi Fukamachi and has two siblings, a younger brother, Shouta, and older sister, Minami

One thing I wish people knew about me, but don't is: I can eat two times my weight in chicken wings
Why did you choose Siena? The atmosphere of the campus, team, and the coach is pretty awesome
