Max Dunn

Max Dunn begins his second season in Loudonville for 2023 after helping Siena to a six-win improvement from the prior season and a MAAC Semifinal finish during the 2022 season.

Dunn was Siena Volleyball head coach Simone Asque-Favia's first coaching hire on June 16, 2022. Dunn is a former club volleyball manager and varsity manager for the Women’s Volleyball team at Indiana University.

“From the first conversation I had with Max, I immediately had a great feeling about him,” said Asque. “We were instantly on the same page regarding how to holistically care for student-athletes, his skill acumen, and his ambition to be an integral part of a successful program. I am elated to have Max join my staff and look forward to working together to build better Saints!”

A native of Indiana, Dunn comes to Loudonville after spending the last year as the varsity head coach at Owen Valley High School in Spencer, Indiana. Since August of 2019, Dunn was also a volunteer coach for the Indiana University Women’s Club Volleyball team, assisting both administratively and on-court. In January of 2020, Dunn also founded and works as a coaching instructor at The Coaching Academy, which provides instruction and provides opportunities to high school athletes who have an interest in coaching for all sports.

Dunn has also worked at Tier Ten Sports Camps with multiple titles, at The Hidden Opponent as a mental health advocate and speaker for student athletes, and as a performance consultant and beach coach for IBeach31 Volleyball Club. In April of 2020, Dunn founded and was head coach for Riptide Sand Volleyball, a successful summer sand volleyball program in Bloomington, Indiana for ages 12-18.

The Hoosier State native began his coaching career in Bloomington at both area high schools, first joining as a volunteer assistant and boys’ varsity assistant coach at Bloomington High School South for a year before moving to Bloomington High School North as an assistant setting coach and varsity practice player.

Dunn graduated from Indiana University Bloomington in May of 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a minor in athletics coaching. He was a member of the dean’s list and executive dean’s list each of his four years.
