Biography
GENERAL:
- Excellent defensive player and one of the top servers on the team
- Very active in community - has made four service trips to Africa as a Siena student
- Named MAAC Student Athlete of the Week (7/27/15)
- Sister Julie was libero at MAAC-member Manhattan from 2009-12
- Has soft hands, good footwork, and a strong knowledge of the game
- Gained national exposure for her off-the-court work with Operation Hearts and Home in the wake of having her home destroyed during Superstorm Sandy
2014:
- MAAC All-Academic Team and Honor Roll selection
- One of just three players to appear in all 34 matches, making 12 starts
- Ranked second on the team with 31 aces and .27 aces/set
- Averaged 2.0 digs/set, tallying 226 on the season
- Collected 10 digs in Championship match victory over Marist (11/22)
- Had four service aces at Fairfield (10/4) and vs. Saint Peter's (10/18)
2013:
- Appeared in 25 matches and 48 sets as defensive specialist and libero
- Averaged 1.62 digs per set
- Played four sets, registering 13 digs, two aces and no reception errors in 3-2 home loss to eventual MAAC Champion Fairfield
2012:
- Played in 27 matches and 64 total sets, making three starts
- Averaged 1.0 digs per contest
- Collected season-high 10 digs in tough 3-2 loss at Niagara (10/21)
- Had just three reception errors in last 11 matches played
BEFORE SIENA:
- All-State and two-time All-County selection
- 2011 All-Long Island selection by MSG Varsity
- Three-time Nassau County Champion (2008-10)
PERSONAL/COMMUNITY:
- Has two older sisters Kristen and Julie, and a brother, Phil
- Family hosts a ukranian girl named Alina each summer
- Very active in community, having volunteered for: Operation Hearts and Home (2006-13), Camp Abilities volunteer coach (summers of 2011-12), Massapequa volleyball volunteer/head coach (summers 2007-10/11-12).
