Dewight Carruth joined Siena in Summer 2026 following a two-year stint as Assistant Sports Performance Director at Grambling State University, where he worked with men’s and women’s basketball programs while managing performance programming, athlete development, and collaboration with sports medicine and athletic administration.
"Thank you to Lori, the coaching staff, and Siena University for welcoming me aboard,” said Carruth. “I am excited to join Siena University's athletic department and contribute to an excellent university. I look forward to working alongside our student-athletes and coaches to cultivate a strong culture of performance, discipline, and growth that propels us toward winning.”
Carruth previously served as a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach at Mercer University and has additional human performance experience through the United States Air Force and United States Army. He holds CSCS and TSAC-F certifications through the NSCA, along with a USA Weightlifting Level 1 certification.
