Siena Athletics announced the hiring of Edward Egerton III as Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance on Aug. 15, 2022. Egerton comes to Loudonville after spending 19 months at Alabama A&M University.

“We are excited to add Edward to our Siena family,” said Siena Vice President and Director of Athletics John D’Argenio. “He brings great experience to the position from his time at both Alabama A&M and Delaware State, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome him to Loudonville.”

A native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Egerton joined Alabama A&M in January 2021 as the Assistant Director of Compliance, where he informed and educated coaches, student athletes, administrator, and faculty on NCAA rules and regulations. He also handled all athletic waivers and violations, as well as generated NLI and Grant in Aid for current and prospective student athletes. Also at Alabama A&M, he oversaw the SWAC ESports program for the department, helping build the first ESports lounge for students. He also co-chaired the Alabama A&M University Student & Fan Engagement committee for Men’s and Women’s Basketball and Football.

Prior to joining the Bulldogs, Egerton spent over five years at Delaware State University in multiple roles. He left Dover as Assistant Director of Compliance, which he held for just over three years. He also served as the Office of Compliance Graduate Student, and Office of Compliance Intern. Also while at Delaware State, he served as Supervisor for Campus Events.

Egerton also served stints with the Delaware 87ers and Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference while at Delaware State. He has also attended the last three NCAA Regional Rules seminars since 2016, presenting in 2018 in Indianapolis.

Egerton graduated from Delaware State with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Sports Management in 2015, followed by earning his Masters of Science degree in Sport Administration in 2017 also from Delaware State. He was a member of M.O.C.A. (Men of Color Alliance Student Leadership Program) and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity.
