  • Title
Advisor to the Vice President/Director of Athletics for Revenue Sharing & NIL Strategy
Frank Ambrose '85 was appointed to the newly created position of Advisor to the Vice President/Director of Athletics for Revenue Sharing & NIL Strategy in September 2025. In this role,  Ambrose will provide strategic guidance as Siena navigates the rapidly evolving landscape of college athletics, particularly around revenue sharing and Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL).

“Frank has always been a forward thinker, eager to get ahead of the curve and lead the way,” said Vice President and Director of Athletics John D’Argenio. “His experience as a business leader, veteran, and visionary advocate for Siena student athletes makes him an invaluable addition to our team. Through his leadership of Saints March On, Frank showed his commitment to positioning Siena Athletics for long-term success, and we are excited to welcome him in this advisory capacity as we prepare for the next era of college sports.”

Ambrose’s role will include maintaining and strengthening relationships with donors to the newly formed Athletes & Champions Revenue Sharing Fund, while also helping secure ongoing contributions in support of Siena Athletics. He will advise on vendor relationships related to revenue sharing, lend expertise in negotiations with student athletes and their representatives, and provide counsel on national issues, including trends, policy shifts, and government activity that impact NIL and the future of collegiate sports.

“At Siena, athletics has always gone hand-in-hand with academics, values, and community,” said Ambrose. “It’s about preparing student athletes to thrive in every aspect of life. I’m honored to serve in this role and help ensure that our Saints are supported, empowered, and positioned for long-term success both during their time at Siena and beyond.”

A pioneer in the field of e-business, Ambrose has built a distinguished career leading global technology and operational organizations. He formerly served as EVP for Platform & Technology and Co-Chief Revenue Officer at Rally Health, where he oversaw technology and operations, including customer service call centers, account management, and client delivery. He was part of the leadership team that successfully sold Rally Health (formerly Audax) to UnitedHealth Group. Prior to Rally, Ambrose held senior leadership roles as Senior Vice President of Global Technology at Linden Research, Inc., where he advanced the scalability of the first virtual reality game’s network architecture (Second Life), and at AOL, where he developed network and infrastructure services during its rise as a global internet leader. His earlier career included key roles at MCI Telecommunications.

In addition to his business accomplishments, Ambrose served as an officer in the United States Navy and Navy Reserve for 10 years. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Siena, where he participated in Army ROTC before earning a Navy ROTC scholarship and cross-enrolling at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Despite his extensive military and business commitments, Ambrose has always remained deeply engaged in the Siena community, particularly through Campus Ministry and his enduring support of Siena Athletics.

With decades of leadership experience across both the private sector and military service, Ambrose brings a future-focused, strategic perspective that will help Siena Athletics stay ahead of the changes reshaping intercollegiate athletics.
