Nick Ciresi was elevated to Associate Athletic Director for Finance at Siena University in September 2026 after joining the Saints’ athletics administration in May 2024 as Assistant Athletic Director for Fan Engagement.

In his current role, Ciresi oversees financial planning, collaborates with campus finance, and provides continued oversight of ticket products and revenue-generating initiatives.

“We are thrilled to elevate Nick Ciresi into the role of Associate Athletic Director for Finance,” said Siena University Vice President/Director of Athletics John D’Argenio. “During his tenure as our Assistant AD for Fan Engagement, Nick demonstrated an exceptional understanding of our fanbase and market dynamics. In today’s collegiate landscape, financial sustainability relies heavily on a proactive approach to revenue generation, responsible stewardship of our resources, and understanding historical trends that can impact the future. Nick has a blend of frontline fan cultivation, strategic vision, and coaching background.”

Ciresi previously oversaw ticket sales for the Saints’ men’s and women’s basketball programs and other selected athletic events, while assisting with marketing strategies, fan experience initiatives, and sponsored events. He also helped implement strategies designed to enhance the fan experience from the initial point of purchase through in-game engagement, while maintaining customer database information to support marketing and ticket sales efforts.

“Nick has been a tremendous asset to the Siena community, bringing passion, strong relationship building, and high-level execution to everything he touches,” said Siena University Assistant Vice President/Deputy Director of Athletics/External Relations and Senior Woman Administrator Lori Anctil. “As we continue to elevate Siena Athletics, Nick’s leadership in resource allocation and business operations will directly benefit our student-athletes, coaches, and entire university. We look forward to the impact he will make as part of our senior leadership team as we steward our resources and drive the future of Siena Athletics.”

Ciresi brings 15 combined years of collegiate coaching experience to Siena. He served as the head men’s basketball coach at Hartwick College in Oneonta from 2021-24, following associate coaching stints at Union College in Schenectady from 2014-19 and 2009-11. He began his collegiate coaching career as a graduate assistant at Fairleigh Dickinson University from 2011-14.

Throughout his coaching and administrative career, Ciresi has emphasized student, alumni, and community engagement, leadership, relationship building, brand management, and recruiting. He helped cultivate partnerships with local organizations and businesses, including the Oneonta Boys and Girls Club, and served as a planning committee member for the Classic Nick Lambros Golf Tournament, which generated $17,000 for the Wick Athletic Fund. He also had direct oversight of prospect clinics and multiple alumni events.

“I am thrilled to be stepping into the role of Associate Athletic Director for Finance,” said Ciresi. “I would like to sincerely thank President Charles Seifert, Vice President/Director of Athletics John D’Argenio, Assistant Vice President/Deputy Director of Athletics Lori Anctil, Assistant Vice President for Financial Planning Rebecca Fry, and the entire hiring team for this opportunity and their efforts throughout the search process. I appreciate their confidence in me to embrace this new position, and I look forward to serving the University in this new capacity. Siena has become a truly special place to my family and I. We are excited to continue to grow within the Saints' community, and help advance the mission of Building Better Saints. Go Saints!”

Ciresi earned an MBA in Management from Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Silberman College of Business in 2014. He also holds a B.A. in Political Science from Union College, where he was a Presidential Scholarship recipient.

A native of Kings Park, New York, Ciresi resides in Schenectady with his wife, Elyssa, and their two sons, Gregory and James.
