Basketball Falls to Fordham, 78-69

NEW YORK (AP) - Duke Freeman-McKamey had 21 points and a game-high 12 rebounds to lead Fordham past Siena 78-69 Saturday for its first victory of the season.

William Parker added 15 points and Jeff McMillan 14 for the Rams (1-2), who led 42-38 at halftime.

Dwayne Archbold, who went 5-of-9 on 3-pointers and 10-of-20 overall, scored a game-high 26 points for the visiting Saints (1-4). Andy Cavo had 15 points on 5-for-7 shooting from 3-point range.

Archbold had eight points in a 15-4 run that gave Siena a 26-13 advantage at 11:08 of the first half. Fordham responded with a 15-1 spurt to take a 28-27 lead with 6:13 left in the half.

Tereman Johnson converted one of two free throws to give the Rams the lead for good, 36-35 with four minutes until the break.

Mark Price's 3-pointer moved Siena to 69-68 with 2:18 remaining, but Fordham closed out the game on a 9-1 run.
