CINCINNATI (AP) - Kevin Frey scored 20 points, and David West added 19 to lead Xavier to a 68-59 victory over Siena on Monday night.

West led the game in free throws, hitting 11-of-14, and led the Musketeers (8-3) in rebounds with nine. Dwayne Archbold also grabbed nine rebounds for Siena (4-10).

The score was tied at 36 with 15:04 left to play when Xavier went on a 24-12 run to take its biggest lead of the game at 60-48 with 2:58 to play. Romain Sato hit two of his 3-pointers during that run.

Siena closed to within four points with an 11-3 run of its own over the next 2:25. A 3-pointer by Archbold capped the Saints' run. Frey, West and Lionel Chalmers then combined for 5-of-6 free throws.

Siena had only one lead in the game, going ahead of Xavier 3-2 at 2:31 into the game.

By halftime, Xavier led Siena 31-27.

Sato added 11 points for Xavier.

Archbold led the Saints with a game-high and career-high 31 points and was 9-of-12 in 3-point shooting. He was the only Siena player in double figures.

Xavier shot 33 percent of its 3-pointers, compared with 19 percent by Siena.
