LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Freshmen Brian Onofry (Port Jervis, N.Y./Port Jervis) and John Michalisin (Melville, N.Y./St. Anthony's) picked up their first collegiate wins playing 1st and 2nd singles respectively as the Saints (1-1) coasted to a 7-0 victory over Wagner College in Loudonville this afternoon.

Onofry earned a 6-2, 6-4 straight set win over Steve Schwartz, while Michalisin coasted to a 6-3, 6-1 victory in a match with Josh Pruett. Senior Brian Tierney (New Rochelle, N.Y./Iona Prep) contributed a 6-2, 6-3 win in a third singles match with Todd Wilson. A.J. Eames (Durham, Conn./ Coginchaug Regional) battled back after losing the first set 4-6 to post 6-1, and 7-5 victories at fourth singles to preserve the shutout.

Josh Magarik (Vestal, N.Y./Hill School) and Brian Connor (Lynbrook, N.Y./Kellenberg Memorial) also posted straight-set wins for the victors.

Siena also swept the double portion of competition highlighted by the pairing of Onofry and Tierney topping Schwartz and Pruett in an 8-5 triumph.
