CAMBRIDGE, MA - Siena Men's Tennis sophomore
Mars Argun came through with a tie-breaker victory on day one to open the ITA New England Regionals at the Murr Tennis Center on the campus of Harvard University Thursday.
Argun, a native of Istanbul, Turkey, rallied back to defeat Lucas Rais of Boston College, 4-6, 7-5 [10-8] in the morning before No. 13 Justin Lin of Brown by the scores of 6-3, 6-3 in the afternoon session.
Teammate
Mateja Stefanovic had a victory in his morning match before being eliminated in the Round of 32 afternoon matches against a top-seeded-opponent.
Stefanovic, a native of Kragujevac, Serbia, won in straight sets, 6-2, 6-3 over fellow Boston College's Lucas Rao in the Round of 64.
Stefanovic bowed out against No. 3 Dylan Tsoi of Yale, 6-1, 6-3.
