BALTIMORE (AP) - Austin Andrews scored all of his six points in the third overtime and Siena overcame a frigid start to get past Loyola 82-76.
The victory was the third straight for the Saints (7-10, 4-1 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) and enabled them to stay within a half game of first-place Manhattan. The Greyhounds (2-11, 1-3) lost their sixth straight.
Loyola led much of regulation, and was on top 53-50 after Damien Jenifer's scoop shot with just over two minutes left. The Greyhounds got the ball back and tried to stall, but turned the ball over on a shot clock violation with 12.5 seconds left. Dwayne Archbold, who led the Saints with 24 points and 15 rebounds, hit a 3-pointer with 3.3 seconds left to send it to overtime.
Jenifer, who would later foul out with 16 points, hit a 3-pointer with 1.3 seconds left in the first overtime to tie it 59 and send the game to a second OT, which ended in a 67-67 tie.
Loyola missed its first six field goal attempts of the third extra session. A put back by Andrews at 1:50 gave Siena a 75-67 lead that was too much for Loyola to overcome. Andrews also hit a 3-pointer in the third OT and added a free throw in the closing minute.
James Clinton scored a season-high 20 for the Saints, and had 11 rebounds. Tommy Mitchell, who made six free throws in overtime, finished with 17 points for Siena.
Lucious Jordan and B.J. Davis paced Loyola with 19 points each.
