LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - The Siena men's tennis team (0-5 spring) dropped a 4-3 decision to Niagara University in a home match played this morning on the Siena campus. Seniors Brian Tierney and Brian Connor earned singles wins and the Saints took doubles play to close within a single point.
Tierney won for the second time this week in his third consecutive three-set match. The senior defeated Niagara's Jason Pope 6-4, 4-6 and 6-4. Connor's match also went the distance as the Saint pulled out a 7-4 win his third set tie-breaker.
The doubles pairs of Brian Onofry and Tierney along with John Michalisin and A.J. Eames earned wins for the Green and Gold at first and second doubles.
