LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. -- Senior Brian Tierney continued his hot play with a victory in second singles, but it wasn't nearly enough to help the Siena men's tennis team overcome Vermont on Tuesday in Loudonville.

Tierney defeated Vermont's Joshua London for Siena's only point on the afternoon. A.J. Eames appeared on his way to another Siena win after besting opponent David Levin 6-2 in the opening set. Levin responded with 6-4 and 7-5 wins to claim the triumph and the point for the Catamounts. Zeljko Khezevic defeated Brian Onofry 6-4 and 6-3 at top singles and senior Brian Connor suffered a close defeat at fourth singles in other notable action.

Vermont swept the doubles portion of the event as well.
