ORLANDO, FL. - For the second consecutive year, the Siena women's golf team captured the MAAC Championhip this weekend at Disney's Lake Buena Vista golf course. The Siena men's team finished sixth out of nine teams in the men's three-round tournament.
Bridgette Palin led the Saints by shooting a 169, good for medalist honors. Fellow sophomore Stephanie Reeves carded a 171 to finish third on the women's side. Siena finished with a team score of 717 for the two-round tournament, six strokes better than runner-up Fairfield.
On the men's side, the Saints shot a total score of 942. Iona won the men's team title for the second year in a row by shooting 892. Siena did not place a golfer among the top 10 scorers.
Luke Esposito was the Saints' low scorer by firing a 229, good for 15th place. Ben Eldridge was close behind with an 18th-place score of 232.
