Men's Hoops Drops One To Canisius, 84-77

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - Hodari Mallory scored 22 points and Jon Ferris 18 to lead Canisius, 84-77, over Siena Thursday night.

After Siena's Antoine Jordan completed a three-point play to give the Saints (10-5, 4-2 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) a 62-61 lead with 10:07 left in the second half, Canisius went on a 16-8 run to take the lead for good.

Chris Ravello started the run with two 3-pointers and ended it with another with 2:42 to play, giving the Golden Griffins a 77-70 lead.

Richard Jones had 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Griffs. Ravello was 3-4 from the 3-point range and finished with 11 points.

Prosper Karangwa led Siena with 22 points, while Michael Haddix had 14 points, Tommy Mitchell 12, and Antoine Jordan 11.

There were 14 lead changes and six ties in the game. No team led by more than seven points.

The win snapped a seven-game losing streak for the Griffs (6-9, 2-4).

Siena has won only once in the last 10 years at Canisius.
