NEW YORK (AP) - Luis Flores scored 26 points to lead five Manhattan players in double figures and the Jaspers rolled to an 82-66 victory over Siena on Tuesday night.
Manhattan (9-3, 3-1 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) scored the last five points of the first half to take a 28-21 lead. The Jaspers opened the second half with an 11-3 run and were on the way to their fifth consecutive victory.
Flores had five points in the run to start the second half, scoring on a 3-pointer and a dunk after one of his four steals. The junior guard capped the run with another steal that led to two free throws by Jason Wingate for a 39-24 lead with 17:10 to play.
Prosper Karangwa had 17 points for the Saints (8-4, 2-1), who got within 61-51 on Justin Miller's tip-in with 6:35 remaining but no closer.
Karangwa was 11-of-14 from the free throw but was only 2-of-9 from the field and was limited to 27 minutes by foul trouble.
Manhattan was 30-of-37 from the free throw line, while Siena, which committed 19 turnovers, was 24-of-36.
Dave Holmes, who had 11 rebounds, and Jason Benton each had 13 points for the Jaspers, while Wingate had 12.
