Saints Take Down Duquesne, 78-68

PITTSBURGH (AP) - Antoine Jordan scored 20 points as Siena pulled away early in the second half and defeated Duquesne 78-68 on Saturday.

Siena (3-0) led 33-31 at halftime, then stretched its lead to 17 points at 59-42. Duquesne (1-1) never got any closer than seven points at 70-63 after that.

Siena had five double-figure scorers, with Michael Haddix scoring 14, Tommy Mitchell getting 13 and Austin Andrews and Justin Miller scoring 11 each.

Elijah Palmer had a career-high 24 points and 13 rebounds for Duquesne, including 17 points in the first half. Jon Pawlak scored 11 and Jimmy Tricco had 10 for the Dukes, who shot 35.5 percent (22 of 62) and were only 5-of-23 from 3-point range.

Siena held a 46-34 rebounding edge as Duquesne center Ron Dokes failed to get a rebound in 21 minutes.
