CEDAR FALLS, Iowa (AP) - Ben Jacobson had 16 points and six assists as Northern Iowa beat Siena 82-70 Tuesday night.

David Gruber and Matt Schneiderman each had 14 and Brooks McKowen and Erik Crawford 11 each for the Panthers (6-3) McKowen scored three consecutive 3-pointers to set the tone, with the Panthers never trailing the rest of the way, and scored all his points in the first half.

Siena (3-8) was led by Austin Andrews with 19 points and Tommy Mitchell with 15. The Saints scored the first five points of the game.

Northern Iowa led 42-26 at halftime, closing the first half with a 10-1 run over the final four minutes. The Panthers started the second half with an 18-9 run, building the largest lead of the half at 25 points, 60-35.
