Siena women's cross country team finished second of four schools, while the men claimed third place at the Rider Invitational on Saturday. Led by senior Joan Paul (Schenectady, N.Y.) in a Saints effort with a third-place finish in the Division -1 program with a five-kilometer time of 19:17.8. Junior Kate Luker (New Hartford, N.Y) came home second among Saints in a 19:33.0. Freshman Ashley Dwyer (20:00.9) and junior Katie Burnark, 20:05.2 rounded out the Saints top 10 finish.

The men's team finished third in the six-team contest. Senior Pat Gaffney (Syracuse, N.Y.) finished eight out of 51 runners in a time of 26:25.8 to lead Siena hard work. Freshman John Hart (Cornwall, N.Y.) added a 10th-place finish in a time of 26:34.8.

Siena returns to action at the Albany Invitational on Saturday hosted by SUNY-Albany.
