Saints Downed By St. Peter's, 68-59

JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AP) - Keydren Clark and Ron Yates combined for 48 points to help St. Peter's defeat Siena 68-59 Tuesday night.

Clark, the second-leading scorer in Division I at 27.1 points per game, finished with 25 and Yates scored a career-high 23 off the bench for St. Peter's (13-7, 9-2 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference).

The Peacocks swept the season series against Siena after losing their previous 13 games against the Saints.

Siena (7-14, 4-8) led 18-9 in the first half but went scoreless for the next 8:18 and trailed 24-18 at halftime.

The Saints trailed by as many as 12 in the second half before closing the gap to 55-53 with 6:45 remaining.

St. Peter's made 11 of 12 free throws - including 6 of 6 by Clark - in the final minute to seal the victory.

Austin Andrews led Siena with 12 points.
