Saints Fall To Golden Griffins, 67-50

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - Darnell Wilson had 16 points and seven rebounds as Canisius snapped a five-game losing streak and beat Siena 67-50 Sunday.

Mike MacDonald recorded his 100th career win as head coach of the Golden Griffins (1-5, 1-1 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference).

Chuck Harris had 15 points and six boards while Kevin Downey scored 12 points for the Griffs, who were minus junior transfer guard Corey Herring. He was suspended for missing a team meeting and shoot-around.

Kojo Mensah led Siena (4-3, 1-1) with 13 points and five rebounds and Kenny Hasbrouck had 10 points for the Saints, whose four-game winning streak was stopped.

Canisius led by as many as 19 before taking a 33-22 lead into halftime.

Siena shot 9-of-26 in the first half and shot just 37.3 percent for the game (19-of-51) while Canisius was 28-of-61, or 45.9 percent, from the floor and 6-of-18 from beyond the 3-point arc.
