Final Stats
Loudonville, N.Y. - The Siena men's lacrosse team (0-3) lost 19-7 on the road to Stony Brook this afternoon. Four Saints finished with two points or more.
Siena was led in scoring by a pair of goals from Matt Girsh, Chris Zarins and Matt Donovan. Donovan finished the game with a team-high four points as he also tallied a pair of assists.
Senior Matt Walsh also added two points to his season total with two assists against Stony Brook.
Siena's Charly Rogener won 9-of-20 face-offs and also was tied with Zarins for the team-high in ground balls with four.
Girsh scored the first two goals of the game for Siena. After Stony Brook knotted the score at two, the Saints took their final lead of the afternoon on Donovan's first goal of the game.
Siena's goalie triumvirate of John Bamford, Eddie Haase, and Zach Gosse made 16 saves compared to Stony Brook's eight stops.
Stony Brook had five players with two or more goals led by a game-high five goals from Bo Tripodi.
Siena is next in action on Tuesday as they travel to Colorado Springs, Colo., to take on Air Force with a 3 p.m. start time.
