Senior women's tennis player Denisa Hluchova was named MAAC women's tennis player of the week today after helping the Saints to a 4-3 win over Detroit-Mercy in Ft. Lauderdale Sunday. Hluchova has enjoyed a decorated career at Siena and becomes the first Siena tennis player to win the weekly award in this its first year of existence.

Hluchova, a senior for the Saints, won both her singles and doubles match in the team's 4-3 victory over Detroit-Mercy Sunday. After posting a 6-1, 6-1 victory at number three singles, Hluchova paired with Karina Davis for Siena's only doubles win, an 8-6 victory at the number two position.
