The Siena Women's Tennis team bounced back with a 6-1 conference victory at Merrimack on Sunday at the Brooks School in Reading, Mass.
The Saints were able to halt their four-match skid and upped their overall record to 8-5 overall and 1-2 in the MAAC this season.
In doubles action, junior
Manuela Gomez and senior
Madeline De Faber-Schumacher picked the 6-2 win at the No. 2 position against seniors Giulia Martins Cavalcante and Selasie Senanu.
Reegan Mullaney and
Selma Bellaouchi won by default at the No. 3 doubles spot to take the point for the Saints.
In singles, the Saints earned victories from
Andrea Vargas, Gomez,
Zaara Omar, De Faber-Schumacher and Mullaney.
Merrimack fell to 1-11 and 0-4 in the MAAC.
The Saints will be back in action this Friday at Fairfield (2-9, 0-0 MAAC) at 3 p.m. from the WAC Tennis Courts.
