Men's Lacrosse Wins Triple Overtime Thriller 10-9

Emmitsburg, Md.- The Siena men's lacrosse team (1-4, 1-0) opened up the MAAC slate with a triple-overtime 10-9 win over Mount Saint Mary's (0-5, 0-1) this afternoon in Maryland.

Freshman Chris Zarins had a game-high five points with two goals and three assists in the victory. Trailing 9-6 in the fourth, Zarins tallied an assist then added a goal of his own; one of three unanswered Siena goals that forced the overtime.

Three points were chipped in by the Matt's, Girsh and Walsh. Girsh added three goals while Walsh chipped in an assist and two goals, including the game-winner in the third overtime.

Siena's Michael Aylward and Matt Donovan both posted a goal and an assist.

Freshman Justin Tesone had a team-high six ground balls.

John Bamford went the distance in net for the Saints. The senior made 11 saves keeping Siena in the game for Walsh's late game heroics.

Mount Saint Mary's had two players finish with three points, Jason Werner and Eric Seifert.

Siena is next in action on March 28 as they host Vermont in the home opener with a 3:30 p.m. start time.
