MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - Senior Bryan Bigley (Rotterdam, N.Y./Schalmont) fired a two-day score of 147, registering a 72 and a 75 to pace Siena to a first place finish at the Fairfield Invitational in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Saturday. As a team, the Saints tallied a 625 (308-317), eight strokes ahead of second place Fairfield who shot a combined 633 (317, 316) to finish in second place.
Rounding out the top-five finishing teams were Concord University and the University of Delaware, who both tied for third, followed by Canisius College who finished in fifth with an overall two-day score of 642.
Junior Dennis Gosier ( tied for fourth place after completing the tournament with a total score of 155, firing a 77 in the first day and a 78 in the second to finish second on the team. Other golfers to show on the scorecard representing the Saints were Dan Abbondandolo (Oyster Bay Cover/Saint Dominic), who finished 17th overall and third on the team with a score of 161 (77,84), and seniors Alex Arrigo (Lowville, N.Y./Lowville) who tied in 27th place (163-83-80) and Allen Parker(Blandford, Mass./Gateway Regional) who tied in 43rd place (167-82-85).
