Siena College Names Stephanie Varley Assistant Athletic Trainer

LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - The Siena athletic department recently named Stephanie Varley assistant athletic trainer. Varley will aid in injury treatment, rehabilitation, acute care and the overall operations of the sports medicine department. She comes to Loudonville with over three years of experience in collegiate athletic training.

Varley joins the Siena Athletics staff coming most recently from the Center of Sports Medicine where she assisted in the physical therapy and injury rehabilitation for its clients. Prior to her tenure at the Center, Varley served as the student athletic trainer at Rensselear Polytechnic Institute. In this role, Varley worked primarily with RPI's varsity and junior varsity football team.

Additionally, Varley held roles as the student athletic trainer at Russell Sage College and Albany Academy. She supported the sports medicine needs of the women's soccer, hockey, football and basketball programs. In addition, Varley spent two summers as a volunteer assistant athletic trainer for the Empire State Games in 2004 & 2006.

Varley earned her bachelors degree in Athletic Training from Russell Sage College this past May.
