LOUDONVILLE, NY – Siena University Athletics has announced a partnership with Accelerate Sports Ventures to serve as the Revenue Sharing and Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) consultancy for both the men's and women's basketball programs. As the college athletics landscape continues to evolve, Accelerate will play a pivotal role in advising the administration, head coaches, student athletes, and staff to best navigate this new era of college sports.
"Conferences and schools must be intentional and highly focused on effectively managing revenue sharing, NIL, and the ways these impact the transfer portal. Accelerate provides strategy, accurate market data, analytics, and proven best practices to help our partners thrive in this evolving landscape," said CEO Doug Fillis. "When NIL first emerged, many of our clients were concerned about staying competitive during such rapid change. Today, those same clients have gone on to win National Championships, compete in CFP playoffs, reach multiple Final Fours, and play in bowl games. We remain committed to helping our partners achieve sustained success and maintain a competitive edge."
Siena Athletics will leverage Accelerate's expertise through educational workshops designed for student athletes, coaches, and administrators. In addition to providing guidance on recruiting strategies, revenue sharing, and transfer portal navigation, Accelerate will deliver personalized support to help athletes maximize their NIL opportunities. Student athletes will also have direct access to Julia Fisch, Director of Athlete Relations, who will provide assistance with NIL education, endorsement opportunities, and personal brand development.
"Accelerate understands our identity and championship vision," said Siena University Assistant Vice President/Deputy Director of Athletics
Lori Anctil. "Their partnership strengthens our ability to do things the right way while empowering our student athletes, supporting our coaches, and moving Siena Basketball forward with clarity and purpose."
Siena becomes the latest addition to Accelerate's rapidly expanding NIL portfolio, joining a prestigious roster of institutions including Penn State, UConn, Boston College, NC State, Utah, Fairfield, Merrimack, Marist, Mount St. Mary's, Sacred Heart, American, the 3C2A and more than 200 high schools across the country.
