Siena Names Jason Tracey Outdoors Facilities Assistant

LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - The Siena athletic department has hired Jason Tracey as the outdoors facility assistant. Tracey interned in the athletic department in 2000 and returns with five years of experience in collegiate athletics.

At Siena, Tracey will be responsible to manage alumni/community memberships, schedule outdoor facilities, liaison with the College's facility management department, management and coordination of outdoor rentals, general building supervision and supervision of student workers. In addition he will assist with home event and game management responsibilities.

Tracey arrives from the University of Northern Colorado where he spent a year as marketing and operations manager. He was responsible for promotions and game-day management for all intercollegiate sport programs.

Tracey earned his master's degree from Kent State in 2007 where he also served as a graduate assistant for facilities and operations. His duties included assisting the manager in day-to-day operations of the 6,500 seat Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center, game management and operations at their 30,000 seat football stadium, and helped with event management at men's and women's basketball, volleyball, gymnastics, baseball and wrestling.

Prior to obtaining his master's, Tracey spent one year at Rollins College (Fla.) as a facility and game administrator. He coordinated ticket sales, concessions, marketing and on-site promotions at athletic events and was the tournament manager of the 2004 NCAA DII men's soccer south regional.

Tracey earned his bachelor's degree in sport management from SUNY Cortland in 2004. While there, he served as an event manager for varsity athletic events. He also completed a semester-long operations and ticketing internship at Cornell University. At Cornell, Tracey managed a staff of 12-15 people and served as assistant director of the 2004 NCAA DI men's lacrosse quarterfinals.

Tracey is a 2000 graduate of Shenendehowa Senior High School and currently resides in Clifton Park.
