Women's Soccer Loses at Loyola, 1-0

Final Stats

Loyola graduate student Theresa Ferraina scored the lone goal in the 38th minute to hand Siena a 1-0 loss Sunday afternoon in Baltimore, Md. The Saints drop to 10-3 overall and 4-2 in the MAAC while Loyola improves to 9-4-2 overall and 5-0 in the MAAC.

Taylor Santypal played a long pass down the left side of the field and Ferraina raced to the ball and shot it over goalkeeper Laura Ettinger. Loyola and Siena each registered nine shots in the game. Ettinger (7-3) made three saves in the loss while Brittany Henderson made four saves in the win.

Caitlin Cahalan and Tabitha Tice led the Saints with three shots apiece.

Siena returns to action this Friday when it hosts Niagara. Game time is scheduled for 3 p.m.
