Final Stats
Freshman Matthew Kadoch scored his fourth goal in the last three games and Manhattan scored an own goal to give Siena a 2-1 comeback win at Manhattan Sunday afternoon. The Saints won both games of their metropolitan road trip, defeating Saint Peter's on Friday and Manhattan today.
Manhattan (1-12-1, 0-4) took an early lead in the 4th minute. Stephen Van Rossem hit a 40-yard shot from the left side that beat goalkeeper Phil Chabot. But the red-hot Kadoch evened the game just eight minutes later. After a free kick, junior Joe Tavernese deflected the ball to Kadoch who beat the keeper at the right post.
The Jaspers had a chance to tie the game with three minutes left in regulation. Deia Nassar headed it towards the goal, but Chabot made a diving save to seal the victory. It was Chabot's only save of the game. Manhattan goalkeeper Chris Todd made five saves in the loss.
Siena scored two unanswered goals to defeat the Jaspers last season in Loudonville.
Siena returns to action this Friday when it hosts Rider at 3 p.m.
