LOUDONVILLE, NY — Siena Men's Soccer senior goalkeeper
Bennet Glinder has been named the Metro Conference Defensive Player of the Week following a pair of strong performances that helped the Saints extend their unbeaten streak to eight consecutive matches, tying the program record.
Glinder recorded eight saves across 180 minutes during the week, posting a shutout in a 0-0 draw against Merrimack on October 28 before making four saves in Siena's 2-1 victory over Quinnipiac on October 31. He faced 21 total shots, allowed just one goal, and finished the week with a 0.50 goals-against average and an .800 save percentage.
The victory over Quinnipiac marked the 28th of Glinder's career, tying Siena's all-time program record for goalkeeper wins. His efforts helped the Saints extend their unbeaten streak to eight matches, matching the longest such streak in program history.
