Navy Round One 
Sophomore Don DeNyse III had his best round of the spring, shooting an even par round of 71 to lead the Saints to a seventh place standing following the first round of the Navy Spring Invitational in Annapolis, Md. Siena currently stands tied with Colgate and host Navy in the 18-team field.
Binghamton leads the field through 18 holes, shooting a team score of +5 (289). The Bearcats lead Johnson & Wales University of Florida by just one stroke and Lehigh by six shots in a crowded field. Meanwhile, Siena is still within striking distance, just 14 strokes off the lead after shooting a team score of 303 on Saturday.
Binghamton's P. Stoie Donovan is the individual leader heading into the clubhouse following a round of -2 (69). He leads DeNyse who is second overall, just two strokes behind him.
Additionally, senior captain Dan Abbondandolo had a noteworthy round of 72 and is just one stroke behind DeNyse, placing him tied for fifth overall. In all, Siena's contingent finished strong as all five golfers bested their front nine scores on the back nine.
Final day action commences Sunday morning in Annapolis.
