TROY, N.Y. - Several members of the Siena men's and women's basketball teams helped to kick off CDPHP's Kidpower program Friday evening at the Troy Boys and Girls Club. Men's players Josh Duell and Ronald Moore and women's players Heather Stec and Merrick Volpe headlined the event.
The four student athletes spoke to the children in attendance, teaching them the importance of nutrition and fitness. Following their discussion, the group enjoyed a game of pickup with the local youth's, concluding with an autograph session.
A corporate sponsor of Siena Athletics, CDPHP launched the six-week Kidpower program designed for kids ages 10 to 15 and their parents to learn about nutrition and fitness and ideas for keeping it motivating and fun.
