Saints Coast Past Holy Cross 6-1

Holy Cross held top singles, but Siena won every other match in a convincing 6-1 win over the Crusaders at Central Park in Schenectady Sunday. Dylan Roberts, Jarrett Siewiec, Jay Godbole, Nick Godbole and Vik Kadaba all won their singles matches for the Saints.

Siena began by sweeping the doubles competition. Freshman Michael Amico teamed with Siewiec for an exciting 9-8 (3) win at top doubles. Kabada and Kevin Gioia won 8-5 at second doubles and Jay and Nick Godbole won 8-2 at third doubles.

Matt Wierzel got Holy Cross on the board with a tight 7-5 and 6-4 win at top singles. It was the second straight win for Siena which defeated Hartford 5-2 Saturday.

The Saints will ride the momentum into their MAAC opener at Marist on Wednesday.
