Final Stats
The Fairfield University men's tennis began posted a 7-0 victory over Siena Saturday at the Tri City Racquet Club in Latham.
Siena and Fairfield battled it out at first and second singles with both matches going to three sets. At first singles, Sauter outlasted Mike Amico, 6-2, 6-7(7), 6-4. At second singles, Michalisin edged Jarrett Siwiec, 6-1, 3-6, 6-2. The wins were the 11th of the season for both Sauter and Michalisin.
Fairfield began the day by taking the doubles point. Fairfield then won all six singles matches on the day. Sophomore Mike Lessing notched the Stags fourth and match-winning point of the day with an exciting 6-2, 7-5 win over Vik Kadaba at sixth singles.
Berthod defeated Jay Godbole, 6-1, 6-1, at fourth singles for his second victory of the day.
At the third spot, Ferrante downed Dylan Roberts, 6-2, 6-3. At fifth singles, Erik Kremheller posted his 14th win of the season by defeating Rob Cooperman, 6-0, 6-0.
