Final Stats
Siena men's lacrosse got back on track with a convincing 17-7 victory against Wagner in a neutral site Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference game Saturday afternoon in Farmingdale, N.Y. After winning four straight games, the Saints lost in double overtime at Binghamton on Wednesday. With today's win, Siena improves to 6-4 overall and 3-0 in the MAAC.
Ryan Duggan led the team with six points on four goals and two assists, Jordan Loftus had five points on four goals and one assist and Chris Roth scored four goals.
Bryan Neufeld was named MVP for the Siena team. He scored one goal and had one assist and helped draw defenders away from teammates.
"I'd like to thank the Town of Oyster Bay and both the Massapequa and Farmingdale Youth Lacrosse Associations for hosting this event," Siena Head Coach Brian Brecht said. "Everyone involved did a great job in making it a first class event for our student-athletes."
Senior goalie Brent Herbst earned the win with nine saves. He allowed six goals in 45 minutes. Bill Kelly made one save in 15 minutes.
The Saints return to action next Saturday when they host Virginia Military Academy at 1 p.m.
